Homemade Hamburger Helper

in dinner 101

Tonight’s dinner happened by accident. Accident/I didn’t feel like going to the grocery store.
I only had ground beef for a meat & no fresh veggies, but I did have milk, cheese, noodles & basic dry seasonings. After doing a bit of googling for a homemade hamburger helper recipe I found this one for Cheesy Chili Mac “Hamburger Helper”. I’m not going to repost all the details because ‘Chickens in the Road’ did such a great detailed post (click here) with the recipe. I will say that I thought it was pretty good, P loved it & Samster…well, let’s just say Samster had three helpings. Yes, THREE.

I have proof too…YUM!

THREE helpings?! Wow! I'm lucky if I can get my 22 month old son to eat 3 spoonfuls! On a side note, its been a few months now since I've first visited your blog and I must say… I love it! I've even worked on 2 of your crafts projects you posted up (the butterfly collage and felt magnets). You've now inspired me to get a sewing machine and try out some more things!! Tonight was my first night at "threading a sewing machine". After several failed attempts at reading the manual, I turned to my trusty YouTube to look for tutorial vids. SUCCESS! :) I still need lots and lots of practice.. but I'll get there!

Sorry for such a long, long comment, I just wanted to say THANKS! for inspiring me to start a new hobby!

The dish looks really yummy and delicious! I can't wait to try these. I'm sure my daughter would probably like it. Thanks for sharing the tutorial link. =)

So I discovered this recipe from your blog ages ago…probably when you posted it, and have made it a dozen times. Its a total hit in our house and totally saved dinner tonight as I had no idea what I was going to do for our “Plan B” since “A” fell through. Then I remembered this recipe. So, just a little shout-out and a thank you!
